Transformations at ABS
We love a good transformation at ABS, and Faye and Laura from Blingstar has been great to watch.
Faye started with not much background in training apart from running and Laura is a Mum to child of 4 years.
So, what do the Blingstar girls have to say about their transformation?
Why did you join ABS?
After seeing some of the incredible results on Instagram, and hearing stories from our clients we wanted to give it a go for ourselves!
The training looked a higher quality from anything we had seen elsewhere, and after speaking to ABS trainer, Lauren ABS, she assured us the programme would suit our body goals.
How did you feel starting at ABS?
It was great from day one! From the professional service to the atmosphere on the gym floor.
During our first session, Lauren measured our body fats in 12 different places (called a biosignature), took our before photos, created our tailored nutrition plan and put us through our introduction workout.
What we also liked, was that everyone in the gym was friendly, both the other trainers and the clients. But the focus of our trainer was on us, nothing else in the gym seems to matter but you.
What’s the training been like?
We train three times a week in 45 minute sessions. Our workouts centre mainly around weight training, strongman style training and little bits of cardio/boxing.
Our training was also focused on specific areas we wanted to work. We especially did a lot of hamstring and glute work to tighten the hamstrings and lift the bum.
We also did lots of compound exercises which all use the core, helping to build and strengthen the abs as well as other body parts.
How did you find the nutrition?
We changed our diets completely and ended up making different lifestyle choices while at the same time allowing a treat now and then.
We received a tailored nutrition plan that allowed for treats and a glass of Prosecco every now and then but staying on track 90% of the time. Odd treats allowed us to keep on track and enjoy the experience, it also makes your plan more sustainable.
What have your overall results been from Day 1 to now?
Faye: I have lost 1 stone and 7lb in weight and my definition is so much better. As well as the physical changes, my sleep, skin and confidence has improved.
Laura: I lost 1 stone 4lb in weight! Being able to do this is amazing!
Would you recommend others to join abs?
Results like this are achievable for you too! Put in the effort during your programme and create a plan with your trainer that you can stick to.
