Why Choose Pilates in the City of London at ABS?
If you’re looking for Pilates in the City of London without the feel of a busy group studio, ABS offers a more personal approach. Our boutique studio in Moorgate keeps sessions intentionally small, with just two Reformer beds and two Pilates mats available.
This allows our instructors to spend more time focusing on your movement, technique and individual ability. Whether you’re completely new to Pilates or already have experience, sessions can be adapted to help you progress at the right pace.
Located close to Moorgate and Liverpool Street stations, we’re also ideally placed for people who live or work in the City and want to fit Pilates around their working day.
What Are the Benefits of Pilates?
Pilates is a low-impact but highly effective form of exercise that can help you build strength, improve mobility and move with greater control. Whether you’re completely new to Pilates or already train regularly, it can be a valuable addition to your routine.
Some of the key benefits of Pilates include:
Improved core strength – build strength and stability through your core to support better movement.
Greater mobility and flexibility – improve your range of motion through controlled, purposeful exercises.
Better posture – strengthen the muscles that help support good posture and body alignment.
Improved balance and coordination – develop greater control and awareness of how your body moves.
Full-body strength – challenge muscles throughout your body without relying on high-impact movements.
Better movement quality – learn to move with greater control, stability and efficiency.
Complements other training – Pilates works well alongside strength training, running, cycling and other sports.
At our City of London Pilates studio, our small sessions allow our instructors to focus on your technique and adapt exercises to your ability, helping you get the most from every session.

FAQs
We have a range of programme lengths available at our gyms in London, Manchester, Leeds and Liverpool. On our programmes, you can train between 1-6 times a week depending on what suits your schedule. On our 6 week transformation programme we advise at least 3 times a week in order to see the best results. Ultimately, the decision is yours. If you only want to train once a week, that is fine. We work around you and your lifestyle.
On the whole, most of our clients train with us 1-2-1. However, if you do not wish to train alone we do offer partner training on all of our programmes. When you train in a pair you can split the cost of whichever training programme you choose at our gym. Our partner training can be a great way to keep you on target and motivated towards your goals, as you can mutually support each other through the programme. You still receive 1-2-1 support from the trainer during the session and you both receive independent training and nutrition plans to follow depending on your goals, fitness levels and lifestyle.

For more detailed advice on how to access our gyms via public transport, get in touch with our team.
Typically our gyms are open from 06:00. We do offer training before this time but that is usually something that can be decided between you and your trainer. Our last sessions tend to be around 20:00.
This is absolutely not necessary. We work with such a varied client base, from those who train all the time and love the gym, to clients who have never set foot in a gym before. There is no need to try and get fit before you come to us as it is our job to help you find the right approach to fitness and nutrition so you can train safely and sustainably. No matter where you are up to in your fitness journey, we will adapt our methods to make our programmes work for you. Our aim is to help you feel fitter, healthier and stronger. There is also no need to lose weight before coming to us. Like with your training we will develop and approach to nutrition that works for you.
Yes. We have worked with loads of clients after they have had a baby. We tailor the training and nutrition every step of the way to ensure we are training sensibly and carefully. We have also worked with clients throughout their pregnancy.
On all our programme offers, we have flexible payment plans in place to suit budgets. For example you can split payments on our 6 week programme and pay monthly on some of our longer term services. For more information on prices and payment plans, it is best to contact our team.
