Over at our South Liverpool gym, trainers Liv and Rhodri, decided it was time to challenge themselves to a transformation programme. And, you have to see their results!
Both Rhod and Liv have put our programmes to the test and challenged themselves to transformation programmes in the past. A couple of years ago Liv underwent our renowned 6 week transformation programme and only last year Rhod decided to try out a 10 week programme that saw him having to train at home to complete his programme during lockdown.
So having been through programmes before, both Liv and Rhod, decided they wanted to do it again but this time extend the time, up the challenge and see what they could achieve.
Liv decided that this time 6 weeks was not going to cut it, so she doubled it. She explained…
“As I had already previously done a 6-week transformation, I wanted to trial a longer-term programme as-well. The 12-week programme was a little bit more relaxed as we had a much longer time to achieve the results. Calories were monitored throughout and gradually decreased towards the end weeks. I weight trained three times a week, focusing on full body training with an emphasis on target areas specific to females. Cardio was also used as an extra tool to help strip any extra fat. Step count was also monitored throughout, gradually increasing & then decreasing towards the end week of the transformation”
Under the guidance of South Liverpool gym manager Connor Messenger, Liv followed a tailored training and nutrition plan that was adapted as she went. 12 weeks of training, dedication and hard work later and Liv’s final results came in….
They were nothing short of sensational. 14.5lbs lost over 3 months, big reduction in body fat (around 6%) and the development of serious definition! Check out her abs!
Liv could not have worked harder to get to the end of her programme and she has been an inspiration to her clients and everyone at ABS.
Meanwhile Rhod, who also trained under the guidance of gym manager Connor, upped his programme length from 10 weeks to 13 weeks. And it is safe to say those final three weeks really did make all the difference…
In total, Rhod lost a hard to believe, 31lbs! Not only this, but Rhod shed 10% body fat and at his final reading he measured a 4.8% body fat reading which is nothing short of athlete level.
Speaking of why he decided to undertake such a challenge Rhod said, “I think it’s important that as a trainer I am able to go beyond what I ask of my clients.”
Well both Rhod and Liv have shown just what they are capable of and we just wanted to say a massive well done on the huge effort and discipline it took to be consistent with the programmes and ultimately achieve results like these.
