Tricep Extension Technique
The tricep extension targets your tricep muscles in the backs of your arms. To give your triceps a workout watch our trainer Josh talk through how to perform the perfect tricep extension.
Make sure you are using the correct grip. The ideal grip is around shoulder width apart. This allows you to keep the same range of movement throughout your set.
To perform the tricep extension, step slightly away so there is enough tension in the cable and you need to be able to extend fully down.
Keep your elbows fixed into the side of your body and push your hands straight down by extending from the elbow not from your shoulders.
Bring your hands back up to about 90 degrees and then push all the way back down, fully extending the arm.
