At ABS Manchester we specialise in personal training one-to-one but we also provide the option to train in a pair on all of our programmes. This can be a great option not only so you can split the cost of personal training between you and a friend or relative but also because we find it can help motivate you when you train with someone you know.

How to get to our gym from Salford
Our personal training gym in Manchester city centre is based on Peter St and is the perfect place for you to start your transformation. It is easily reached from Salford by car, foot and local public transport services.
If you are travelling to us from Salford by car, the journey takes around 15-20 minutes. If you decide to walk it can take between 20-40 minutes. Local bus services run frequently between Salford and Manchester city centre and nearby train stations include Manchester Oxford Rd and Deansgate, both are between 10 and 15 minutes away by foot. Local tram services also stop nearby in St Peter’s Square.
Visitors and clients can access the gym via the main door entrance next to Rudy’s Pizza. There is an intercom to press to gain access.

We have a range of programme lengths available at our gyms in Manchester, Liverpool, Leeds and London. On our programmes, you can train between 1-6 times a week depending on what suits your schedule. On our 6 week transformation programme we advise at least 3 times a week in order to see the best results. Ultimately, the decision is yours. If you only want to train once a week, that is fine. We work around you and your lifestyle.
On the whole, most of our clients train with us 1-2-1. However, if you do not wish to train alone we do offer partner training on all of our programmes. When you train in a pair you can split the cost of whichever training programme you choose at our gym. Our partner training can be a great way to keep you on target and motivated towards your goals, as you can mutually support each other through the programme. You still receive 1-2-1 support from the trainer during the session and you both receive independent training and nutrition plans to follow depending on your goals, fitness levels and lifestyle.
Yes. All of our gyms are easily accessible via public transport. In Liverpool city centre, our Castle Street gym is only a short walk from Moorfields underground train station and close to bus stops at the top of Castle Street and Dale St. Liverpool Central station is about 10-15 minutes away too. In Manchester, our gym on Peter St is close to tram and bus stops in St Peter’s Square and a short walk from Manchester Deansgate and Oxford Road train stations. ABS South Liverpool is based just off Speke Boulevard and can be easily accessed by locals bus services. Hunts Cross train station is also close by. Typically our gyms are open from 06:00. We do offer training before this time but that is usually something that can be decided between you and your trainer. Our last sessions tend to be around 20:00.
This is absolutely not necessary. We work with such a varied client base, from those who train all the time and love the gym, to clients who have never set foot in a gym before. There is no need to try and get fit before you come to us as it is our job to help you find the right approach to fitness and nutrition so you can train safely and sustainably. No matter where you are up to in your fitness journey, we will adapt our methods to make our programmes work for you. Our aim is to help you feel fitter, healthier and stronger. There is also no need to lose weight before coming to us. Like with your training we will develop and approach to nutrition that works for you.
Yes. We have worked with loads of clients after they have had a baby. We tailor the training and nutrition every step of the way to ensure we are training sensibly and carefully. We have also worked with clients throughout their pregnancy.
